Review:

I decided to read this because I think it’s time to read this one. Not only because of it’s on Netflix but I feel like reading this one.

My thoughts:

In Clay’s word “God, I can’t stop listening.” In my case, “God, I can’t stop reading.”

What was Clay’s role here? What happened to Hannah, someone needs to know. Someone needs to understand, but, that’s not Clay’s role. He left Hannah and listened to her when she asked him to leave her alone. He listened and does what Hannah wants. But regretted his decision.

I can feel it. I can feel how hard it is for Clay to lie to her Mom and his friend Tony. Also, how hard it is to know if he did something to Hannah, that help to push things negatively. And how hard it is for him to know that Tony knows and it definitely harder to look on those people mentioned into those tapes.

Those people involved could helped Hannah. They saw the signs. There were signs. It’s just they are ignorant or doesn’t care but they saw it. And for the last time Hannah hoped that there’s hope.

Those horrible things that they did to Hannah. Oh my! Totally. Heartbreaking. It ripped my heart.

This novel is about secrets, built and tainted reputation, unbelievable “simple” things that could start on something and result in different bad things, teasing, using, betraying and being fed up with everything that make a person decided to end her life.

It’s a very sensitive issue. A simple tease could lead to something bigger and if the victim can’t handle it may affect his or her social functioning. There are signs. Simple signs that we are not aware that they are signs.

I always live with the four goals of Psychology: describe, understand, predict and control. In that way, I could fully be aware of the people around me that I can describe their behaviour, understand it, predict their future behaviour and control it.

I’m somewhat happy that Clay described Skye’s behaviour, he understand it, predict it based on Hannah’s earlier behaviour and now he controls it.
