UNBOXING & REVIEWING: Mermaid Crate “Us Against the World” December 2017 Box

Hey everybody!

Today, I am going to post my unboxing and review of my FIRST Mermaid Crate Subscription Box. But before that, let me introduce you the Mermaid Crate for those who are not familiar with it.

Mermaid Crate is a Philippine based that offers monthly subscription box that gives subscribers a newly release Your Adult book in Hardcover format with other bookish items. They first introduced their box on July 2017 and only got a chance to subscribe their December 2017 box.

One of the reasons why I decided to subscribe to their December box is because of the good reviews of other bloggers. I’ve wanted to subscribe but due to some circumstances, I didn’t get a chance. Well, I didn’t expect that their box shaped like a book. Look how nice and cool their box is. I really liked it because I could put my other bookish stuff there.

… and their BOTM is The Love Letters of Abelard and Lily by Laura Creedle!!! This book is one of my most anticipated books in December because of its very intriguing plot, and I’m really glad that it is the BOTM of Mermaid Crate. PLUS, there’s an exclusive letter from the author!!! Yes, you read it right. AUTHOR’S NOTE. This subscription box includes author’s note, and I’m delighted with it.

There are reasons why I decided to subscribe the December 2017 Mermaid crate box. I love SURPRISES. I always love POSITIVE and GREAT surprises. Plus, it is December, and it means that it’s my birth month. Also, I am always fond of bookish items/merchs/goodies. So, receiving these goodies made me really happy. Peter Pan caught my attention and it’s one of the reasons why I’ve subscribe (I’m a Peter Pan sucker!!!). I always love Peter Pan, he’s always in my heart. Moreover, I’m a super fan of Six of Crows. After reading the duology, I’ve collected Six of Crows related items and I’m delighted that it is part of the box. This box also includes POP! FUNKO!!! Who wouldn’t want to receive a Pop! Funko? I’ve wanted to buy Pop! Funko but it is expensive for me. So… the REAL reason why I subscribe is because I felt that this book is FOR ME. The target market of this December box is ME.

OVERALL, Mermaid Crate did not disappoint me. I super-duper love what’s inside my box. Further, I commend how creative, kind, responsive, and friendly the owners of Mermaid Crate. I’m looking forward to their monthly subscription box. Gonna subscribe another box from them soon! #MermaidCrate #MermaidPride

  1. I’ve never received a subscription box before, so thank you for sharing the contents of this one! I think the merchandise you received is really pretty, I especially like the Six of Crows art print and the book cover of The Love Letters of Abelard and Lily. I haven’t seen that book before, either, so I’ll have to check it out.
