Star hockey player Daniel Sacachelli wants only two things: 1) for the Falcons
to win next season, and 2) for his secret — the fact he’s actually the prince of Eldonia — to never make its way to Chicago. But if Daniel keeps avoiding his crown, their family will lose their kingdom forever.
Madison Myong can’t believe that her will-they-or-won’t-they best friend Daniel is
really a prince! He’s always seemed more rebel than royal. But now, he needs to clean up his image, fast. Posing as his long-time girlfriend, Madison accompanies him back to Eldonia, intending to give Daniel a makeover fit for a king.
Only, the more royal Daniel becomes, the more Madison misses her best friend. And if she does her job right, she’ll lose him forever…
Leah and Kate Rooper are sisters from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Growing up beside the Pacific Ocean and inside a temperate rainforest fed their sense of adventure as children, and nourished a curiosity for strange and distant lands. They fed this curiosity with books – lots and lots of books. After experiencing the magic of Middle-earth, they began creating their own worlds. When they’re not writing, Leah and Kate spend their time blogging and vlogging about their travel adventures and their writing journey.

After watching and browsing news about the Royal Wedding, I’ve decided to participate in the blog tour.
Daniel is a royal “bastard” prince. He is one of the key players of the hockey team. He lives with her mother in the US, far from his father in Eldonia. On the other hand, Madison is Daniel’s best friend for two years now. She is part of a team as a “nurse”, because her parents believe that her experience with the team will help her as a premed student in the future. However, Madison’s dream is too far from that. She wants to be an actress and her parents are not open to that idea. When Madison accidentally heard Daniel’s secret and met Daniel’s sister, Eva, she couldn’t resist Eva’s offer, and help Eva and made a plan to make Daniel a king.
They story is good. You can read it as a standlone though it is part of the Chicago Falcon series.
Although some parts are predictable thought that this one is another cliché story, but it is not. Honestly, I’m amazed with the setting to the point that I looked where Eldonia is.
The characters are okay. Though at some point I’m annoyed at Madison because she keep on insisting of not telling Daniel her deal with Eva. Daniel is lovable but at some point, I kind of hate him because of being close minded. Contrary, I want to meet and be friends with a “Daniel” someday. Ma is the sweetest and ever supportive mother. I can’t help but remember my mother. Also, I couldn’t forget the Queen of Eldonia because I thought is an evil queen, but I’m wrong.
It is in good pace and easy to read. If you want to read something light that worth your time, read the Chicago Falcon series.
P.S. KDramas are mentioned specifically Boys Over Flowers and Coffee Prince!!! My heart flutters.
“I’ve worked so hard to earn their trust. And now, it’s finally time to see if they have enough faith in me to make the right decision.”
“Just make your own choices, with your heart. That’s all I want for you.”
“I guess parents just don’t always show their love in the clearest ways.”
“You do deserve it. It’s just not fair that no one sees that.”
“Lies on top of lies on top of more lies.”
“No matter how hard you try, you can’t please everyone,” Alice says. “What’s the point of doing all this if you’re not happy? You’re already miserable, so there’s no point in not asking for what you really want.”
“…and one thing I’ve learned from playing with the Falcons—” A whoop goes up from one of my guys in the crowd. “—is that you can tackle anything if you have a great coach, a good team, and a loving family.”
“—these are my decisions to make. I can’t live my life trying to make everyone else happy. I have to trust myself.”
